Daniel Haubert performs repairs on a grand piano

Let’s Meet

I'm Daniel, an expert in piano technology.

My mission is to enhance the joy you find in your home by maintaining the mechanics and musical performance of your piano.

As a Registered Piano Technician through the Piano Technician's Guild, I am credentialed to service your piano for tuning and repairs.

I tune all pianos aurally, that is by ear. Though many piano technicians use the assistance of an electronic tuning device, I firmly believe that tuning by ear is the superior method. Aural tuning caters to the acoustics of your home rather than accommodating to the parameters of a computer.

As a lifetime piano player, I know how a piano should feel and sound. At the conclusion of every tuning, I play your piano to ensure my service provides the ideal acoustics to your environment.

Each year, I service hundreds of pianos in residential and institutional settings. When a piano breaks (due to the 10,000+ parts) we can work together to prioritize repairs that are within your budget.

Thank you for connecting with me and I look forward to working with you.

Services

Standard Aural Piano Tuning

Piano tuning involves precision tension adjustment of 220 strings to make the ideal pitch for each note. $160 including sales tax*.

*Pitch raise an additional $50.

Pitch Raise

Why do I need it?

Moisture fluctuations in the air cause swelling and contraction of your piano's inner parts. Over time, this causes exaggerated stretching of the piano's strings and bends the tuning pins. When your piano is tuned annually, a pitch raise is not needed.

If it’s been 5 years or longer since your last tuning, your piano may need a pitch raise.

During this service, I tune the piano twice which extends my visit to 2 hours. The fee for a pitch raise is an additional $50 including sales tax.

Repairs

If any repairs are needed, prices and options will be discussed before any work is performed.

What People Are Saying

“Scheduling was prompt and service first rate.”

Google Reviews

“Daniel did an excellent job with our old piano. We had no idea when the previous owners had tuned it last and were expecting a complicated tuning. Daniel was professional, respectful, and answered all our questions. Additionally, after a few weeks, the piano had settled (as old pianos do) and some of the bass notes had fallen slightly flat. After contacting Daniel, he came out to adjust things promptly and went above and beyond to make sure things sounded great. We will be using him for all of our tuning and would recommend him to anyone asking.”

“Mr. Haubert fit me into his schedule quickly, came on time, and spent more than an hour meticulously tuning my Kimball Artist Console piano. He was pleasant and careful I would unhesitatingly recommend him if your piano needs tuned.”

“Daniel was the consummate professional. He was in touch via email and phone before our visit. He arrived on time, answered all of our questions, entertained my kiddos with music and information, and tuned our piano so that it’s back to sounding good again, Great experience-highly recommended!”
